Supervision of the construction of section i: Bellavista – Santo Tomas (Nanay Bridge and access viaducts)
Supervision of the cable-stayed bridge and viaduct access works. The Nanay Bridge is located in the center of the Loreto Department in Peru, connecting Bellavistananay in the north with the Santo Tomás region in the south. Nanay is also the name of the river the bridge spans.
The main features of the structure are:
– cable-stayed bridge
– two approach lanes
– two access points
– two intermediate piles 80 m high relative to the average level of the Nanay River
– maximum bridge width of 15.7 m
– double traffic lanes (PE-5N) and sidewalks.
This cable-stayed bridge comprises two main towers and 34 piers. The footings (bases) of towers 1 and 2 are 16 m wide and 34 m long and rest on piles up to 60 m long.
It consists of a section of metal beams and concrete slabs, supported by concrete slabs, supported by two cable planes clamped on two large concrete towers 80 meters high.
