TWIN-TUBE TUNNEL EXIT SCHEME FOR THENIA STATION
– Construction of the twin-tube cut-and-cover tunnel at the exit of Thenia station.
– The new tunnels are built on the site of the existing tunnel and must be constructed while the line remains in service.
– The project is designed considering that it is located in an area of active seismicity, with accelerations defined by the applicable standard of 0.4g.
– Definition of the cut-and-cover tunnel typology.
– Definition of the construction phasing, taking into account the need to keep the line in service through the existing tunnel.
– Definition and preparation of structural calculations (civil engineering) for the new tunnels.
– Inspection and analysis of the existing tunnel to guarantee stability during the initial phases of construction of the new tunnels.
– Preparation of civil engineering plans.
– Quantity take-offs and bills of quantities.
